In The News: The seventh anniversary of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center and other American buildings with airliners as weapon-of-choice is in progress. The media is turning what should be a somber and reflective reminder into an overblown spectacular.
In the here and now… a missile basing deal with Czechoslovakia is going to their parliament for a vote. Poland has OK’d 10 missile bases, and if this appears to be all about ‘invading Persians with nuclear missiles’… for the fish… in Norway, you might be right.

Federal investigators are preparing to release a report detailing improper relationships between Interior Department officials who oversee offshore drilling and oil executives, including golf outings, ski trips and romantic liaisons.
Up to 10 employees from Interior’s Denver-based Minerals Management Service, or MMS, ran afoul of federal ethics rules, and criminal charges will be pursued against at least one staffer, according to sources familiar with the inquiry.
